Originally from Albuquerque, NM, David moved to South Florida in 2017 following the passing of a family member and turn a new leaf on life. David received his shop tools, primarily a bench grinder, table saw, and a lathe.

About a year after moving, David met his now wife and not long after their marriage, new neighbors moved in next door. While getting some home DIY repair advice from his new neighbor, the friend noticed his lathe next to the workbench. He suggested that David get it set up and he would give him some advice on using it.

When tool hit wood and ribbons of shavings began to fly in the air, David was hooked! His friend gave him the basics of the tools, their proper usage, and some ideas of projects to make in order to develop proper technique. With the help of YouTube videos, books, and community forums (along with a lot of practice) David is now excited to share his beautiful craft and creations while bringing you along on the journey ahead.
